Yes because dogs have really good noises and a lot better than a human nose. Also if they have the dog they will be able to find the drug a lot easier than we would be able to.  When a dog is snuffing something and the police think that it is illegal than they have the right to go and see what it is. That is why they need to keep the dogs with them.
